    Findings :

    A 2023 report by Gothamist noted that, although Mayor Adams and AOC had a "rocky start," they had worked to find "common ground," including making "collegial comments" about each other. Therefore, it is not true that AOC has been a fierce critic of Mayor Adams. At best, perhaps AOC has made political calculations about what kind of relationship with Mayor Adams served her best. As a result, it is not true that she has been a "fierce critic" of the mayor, and certainly not for all of the time that they have served in public office.
