Trump's attacks on the freedom of the press go global

In recent weeks, U.S. President Donald J. Trump (R) has turned hostile against a free press that has stretched from the States to the U.K. Domestically, he's insulted a pool reporter aboard Air Force One, and he threatened the broadcast license of a network news organisation. In England, he's threatened to file a USD 5 billion lawsuit against the BBC over an editing row in a current affairs TV news magazine segment broadcast in 2024.
