After President Donald J. Trump (R) threatened to primary U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga. 14), she announced a plan to resign. The discord arose after Green supported the release of the Epstein files, a move that Trump initially opposed before it became clear Congress would pass a resolution mandating the release. Trump's scorn was too much for Green to overcome in an election cycle when Republicans largely expect to lose seats.
