A panel of three Appeals court judges ruled unanimously that Alina Habba was not serving lawfully as U.S. Attorney for New Jersey. The ruling affirmed an earlier finding by a Federal District court. Federal Court proceedings across the U.S. have faced challenges over the Trump administration's unorthodox manner by which it has made appointments of top Federal prosecutors. A similar case faces the U.S. Attorney in Virginia, Lindsey Halligan.
