Democrats adjust to a new climate of primaries

Rather than let party élites pick elected officials, Democrats are primarying each other for seats in Congress. A reïnvigorated culture of electoral campaigns promises a rebirth of the Democratic Party, or its increased troubles, as an upset voting base demands change.
