Nancy Pelosi's failure to enact a stock trading ban by Congress receives more scrutiny

In some years, the stock portfolio of Paul Pelosi, husband of U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca. 11), has outperformed the S&P 500. Initially, the former House speaker opposed a ban on stock trading by Congressional members. But then she made a pivot of support with the proviso that the ban apply to the Judicial branch of Government, inclusive of U.S. Supreme Court judges. Multiple bills have been proposed with varying regulations. None have passed.
