— U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y. 21) announced Friday that she was suspending her campaign for New York governor and that she would retire from Congress at the end of her current term. Twice, President Donald J. Trump (R) withheld support for Stefanik's advancement : first, for a post at the U.N., and second, for her run for New York's governorship. Stefanik joins U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga. 14) in retiring after becoming disenchanted with men holding all of the power.
