Millions of New Yorkers relying on SNAP food assistance have yet to receive any benefits for the month of November, just weeks away from Thanksgiving, the traditional start of the holiday season. Jewish New Yorkers are feeling unease in the face of rising antisemitism. Public housing residents in Chelsea face a controversial privatisation and demolition. But Democrats, including Zohran Mamdani, are in Puerto Rico for the annual SOMOS lobbying free-for-all. It's business-as-usual.
