The scales of justice are tipping under Trump's metaphorical, heavy thumb

On the same day when President Donald J. Trump reportedly preëmptively pardoned a slew of his allies, including some of his former top aides and personal attorneys, the Washington Post revealed that the Justice Department has been gutted of career prosecutors by the thousands. At the same time, Trump can't escape accusations of the appearance of selective prosecution, as in the alleged mortgage fraud case against Attorney General Letitia James (D-N.Y.).
