The leaking of a parting memo issued by a former BBC advisor last June has triggered a scandal in the U.K., leading to the resignation of two top executives of the British service. The controversy stems from a 2024 segment of a Panorama episode about the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection in which videos reportedly recorded separately were edited together to give a false impression of President Donald Trump's instructions to his followers. Trump has threatened legal action.
