Editorials by U.S. media reflect the hardships experienced by Americans living in poverty, and the politics in Washington over healthcare. In praising the 8 break-away U.S. Senators, who sided with Republicans, to end the shutdown, the Editorial Board of the Washington Post denounced the fake outrage over healthcare subsidies as the economy took a nose-dive, notably, the commercial airline industry. If there was political blame, it lay with the party leaders.
